Welcome to http://www.cesreygatela.blogspot.com, a Netzarim (Messianic) webpage that challenges anyone who attempts to negate the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, His Messiah, or His Torah. My goal is to present BIBLICAL Truth to the world and expose false teachings from a Bible-based position devoid of personal opinion. No matter what "the world" says, there's only ONE God, ONE Torah, ONE Messiah, and ONE way to receive eternal life!

iglesia ni manalo exposed

Q: What is the Gospel of Manalo Doctrine Lesson 2 and what is its fallacy?
A: An excerpt of Gospel of Manalo Doctrine 2 follows:

"LESSON NO. 2 - The true God
Summary of the lesson: The Iglesia ni Cristo believes in the teachings taught by the Bible that the Father Who created all things is the only true God. There are no three persons in one God; thus, reject the belief in the so-called Trinity. The Bible also prohibits worship of images or idolatry." (Fundamental Beliefs of the Iglesia ni Cristo, Erano G. Manalo (1989), p.4).

The fallacy of Doctrine Lesson 2:

The Iglesia ni Cristo lies that it is only the Father who is the true God, or that the Father is the only one who created all things. The truth is that the Father as well as the Son Jesus Christ has created all things. This was testified by Apostle John:

"He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made." (Jn.1:2-3 NKJV)

Therefore, the Bible teaches Jesus Christ is co-creator of all things. Jesus Christ was in the beginning with God. That all things were made through Jesus Christ, and without Jesus Christ nothing was made that was made. This teaching of Apostle John is corroborated by Apostle Paul:

"He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or domination, or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him." (Col. 1:15-16 NKJV)

Therefore, Jesus Christ created also all things. This is the true gospel taught by the apostles.

The Manalo doctrine that it is the Father who is the true God is false. Jesus Christ is also God as attested in Heb.1:8-9:

"But to the Son He says:
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness, Therefore God, Your God,has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions." (Heb.1:8-9 NKJV).

It is the Father who is calling His Son, "O God". The denial of this Bible fact by Felix Y. Manalo is proof that Manalo does not respect the Bible nor God at all. This trait of disrespect to God could only come from the evil spirit.

Felix Y. Manalo also lies about the non existence of the Trinity. The Bible is replete with many verses that testify of the existence of the Trinity or the three compositions of the one God. The following verses teach the Trinity: Matthew 28:19-20; Genesis 1:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14. The Trinity word in the Bible is called Godhead (Rom.1:20 NKJV, Col.2:9 NKJV).

The mirroring of the Trinity on man based on the Bible that man was created in the image of God is the tripartite composition of man. We all know that man has three compositions namely, body, soul, and spirit (1 Thes.5:23). This man's image source is God's, therefore, God has three compositions which we all know as the Father, Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The body represents Christ, the soul represents Father, and spirit represents the Holy Spirit. The fact that man is deemed only one man despite that he actually has three compositions, therefore, though God having three compositions, is only one God.

  1. Greetings Rey Anthony Gatela

Firstly, I am not a member the Iglesia ni Cristo .

    You stated however that:
"The Iglesia ni Cristo lies that it is only the Father who is the true God"

With all due respect, how can you say that that is a lie, when these are the very words of Jesus, our Lord and Master, who never lied!
(John 17:1) These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, ...
(John 17:3) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

    Did you not see that?
    Jesus Christ identified his Father
    as the only true GOD.
    ONLY true GOD.
    (Likewise Jesus identifies the Father
as the ONLY GOD in John 5.44)

And that is exactly how the early church understood Jesus:
(1 Cor 8:4) ... that there is none other God but one.
(1 Cor 8:6) But to us there is but one God, the Father, ...

    Paul clarifies even more:
(1 Tim 2:5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men,
    the man Christ Jesus;

(1 Thess. 1:9-10) For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you,
    and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

    Did you see that?
The man Christ Jesus is the Son of the living and true God!

This is no 'lie' ... this is the TRUTH!

  2. Now sorry to state the obvious but Jesus is not even mentioned in John 1.1-3!!

To quote Colin Brown of Fuller Seminary:
"It is a common but patent misreading of the opening of John's Gospel to read it
    as if it said:
'In the beginning was the Son, and the Son was with God and the Son was God'
    (John 1:1).
What has happened here is the substitution of Son for Word (Greek logos),
and thereby the Son is made a member of the Godhead which existed from the beginning."

This is exactly what you did! You misread Jesus into these verses.
John doesn't mention Jesus at all in these verses!

    So, what is John's context?
    Answer: The word of GOD!
That is, all things came into existence through the word of GOD.
GOD spoke and IT was done!

Compare Psalm 33.6 By the word of YAHWEH were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. ... 9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

John is stating the very same thing.
    The new revelation however is the fact that (John 1.14);
that same word of GOD was made flesh
    resulting in the conception of
Jesus the Messiah, the Son of GOD.

    Incidentally, did you know Rey Gatela, that the majority of all English translations before the KJV of 1611, beginning with William Tyndale's (1525);
    translated John 1.1-4 as follows:-
(John 1:1-4) In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by IT; and without IT was not any thing made that was made. 4
In IT was life; and the life was the light of men.

All things were made by IT! ... that is exactly what 'a word' is!
A word is an it not a him! A word is not a person!
    Rather, a word is ... a word!

Therefore Tyndale and others rightly translated the Greek text in the sense of what John actually meant.
John was speaking about 'the word of GOD' through which all things came into being.
For more info concerning this fact, please see:
    Concerning John 1:1

The context of Col. 1:15-16 is actually about the future kingdom (v.13); these verses are not about the Genesis creation; but rather are about thrones, dominions, principalities, powers; these are the "all things" spoken of in verse 16 -

    Therefore,
On the subject of the Trinity,
    I recommend this video:

Take a couple of hours to watch it; and prayerfully it will aid you in your quest for truth.

This video also addresses Psalm 45.6-7 i.e. Heb. 1.8-9 and Gen. 1.26, etc.
