A: An excerpt of Gospel of Manalo Doctrine Lesson 1 follows:
"LESSON NO.1 - The Bible
Summary of the lesson: The Church of Christ adheres to the belief that the words of God are written only in the Bible. The Bible should be the only basis of service to God. This is the truth which will teach man salvation from punishment on Judgment Day. Thus, each member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo should give value to the teachings of God written in the Bible by fulfilling them in his life." (Fundamental Beliefs of the Iglesia ni Cristo, Erano G. Manalo, 1989, p.1).
The fallacy of Doctrine Lesson No. 1:
The Iglesia ni Cristo lies about this doctrine. Actually, the INC does not observe the Bible as written. Nor to them the Bible is the only basis for service to God. The INC does not subscribe that the Bible teaches the truth about salvation.
Doctrine Lesson No. 11 or ten lessons away, makes a mockery of Lesson 1 because in that lesson, Felix Y. Manalo is given the mysteries and secrets of the Bible.
This means that FYM is higher than the Bible. Only the interpretations of Felix Y. Manalo is correct. This makes the Bible subservient to FYM. In another rebuff to Doctrine Lesson 1 is Lessons 3 & 4 which basically change Lesson 1 in that it is the Church of Christ or Iglesia ni Cristo (not the Bible) that saves man from punishment on Judgment Day.
