No, not at all. There is no Biblical reason to be concerned about the year 2012. The History Channel is owned by the Walt Disney Corporation, which is a heathen and rotten company sold out to Satan. Walt Disney is doing more to corrupt the morals of young children and teens than any other influence in America. Disney promotes homosexuality, rebellion against parents, immodest dress, New Age doctrines, Rock 'N' Roll, and other forms of apostasy. It is not surprising to me that Walt Disney is promoting the year 2012 as a possible doomsday. As born-again believers, we must always consider the SOURCE of the information we are receiving. I wouldn't trust anything from Walt Disney or their History Channel.
Do you know why everything has become so corrupt, perverted and immoral nowadays? It is because Satan knows that he is running out of time before the Lord returns to clean up this mess. Revelation 12:12, “...Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the Devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” As we grow nearer and nearer to the Lord's return, Satan is getting out the big guns and ammunition. You can expect things to get MUCH worse!
Should We Be Concerned About the Prophecies of Nostradamus?
No. Nostradamus was an unsaved heathen and more notably a member of the occult. Satan is the god of this world (2nd Corinthians 4:4), who operates secretively through occult organizations to carry out his diabolic plans. Nostradamus was privy to insider information that enabled him to make bizarre predictions and prophecies that all fall within the realm of the ongoing plot to achieve a New World Order. Such uncanny secular wisdom is seen today in such prolific writings as those of Manly P. Hall, a 33rd-degree occult Freemason.
The quest for a New World Order has been in the works for thousands of years and is finally coming to fruition in our time. It may well be that the year 2012 is very significant regarding some phenomenal event of the New World Order. For some reason the Illuminati powers that be want us to focus upon the year 2012, to expect something big on December 21, 2012. But whatever happens, if anything, will be of the Devil. We are living in the time of LYING WONDERS (2nd Thessalonians 2:9). The War On Terror is a LYING WONDER. The 911 Attacks are a LYING WONDER. The Federal Reserve Bank is a LYING WONDER. Satan is a lying, thieving, murdering, destroyer (John 8:44; 10:10).
What About the Mayan Calendar Ending in 2012?
It's all a big sham! Here's a quote from a USA TODAY article exposing the bogus claims of doomsayers...
Does Maya calendar predict 2012 apocalypse?By G. Jeffrey MacDonald, Special to USA TODAY
With humanity coming up fast on 2012, publishers are helping readers gear up and count down to this mysterious — some even call it apocalyptic — date that ancient Mayan societies were anticipating thousands of years ago.
Since November, at least three new books on 2012 have arrived in mainstream bookstores. A fourth is due this fall. Each arrives in the wake of the 2006 success of 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, which has been selling thousands of copies a month since its release in May and counts more than 40,000 in print. The books also build on popular interest in the Maya, fueled in part by Mel Gibson's December 2006 film about Mayan civilization,Apocalpyto.
Authors disagree about what humankind should expect on Dec. 21, 2012, when the Maya's "Long Count" calendar marks the end of a 5,126-year era.
Journalist Lawrence Joseph forecasts widespread catastrophe in Apocalypse 2012: A Scientific Investigation Into Civilization's End. Spiritual healer Andrew Smith predicts a restoration of a "true balance between Divine Feminine and Masculine" in The Revolution of 2012: Vol. 1, The Preparation. In 2012, Daniel Pinchbeck anticipates a "change in the nature of consciousness," assisted by indigenous insights and psychedelic drug use.
The buildup to 2012 echoes excitement and fear expressed on the eve of the new millennium, popularly known as Y2K, though on a smaller scale, says Lynn Garrett, senior religion editor at Publishers Weekly. She says publishers seem to be courting readers who believe humanity is creating its own ecological disasters and desperately needs ancient indigenous wisdom ...
But scholars are bristling at attempts to link the ancient Maya with trends in contemporary spirituality. Maya civilization, known for advanced writing, mathematics and astronomy, flourished for centuries in Mesoamerica, especially between A.D. 300 and 900. Its Long Count calendar, which was discontinued under Spanish colonization, tracks more than 5,000 years, then resets at year zero. [emphasis added]
"For the ancient Maya, it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a whole cycle," says Sandra Noble, executive director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies in Crystal River, Fla. To render Dec. 21, 2012, as a doomsday or moment of cosmic shifting, she says, is "a complete fabrication and a chance for a lot of people to cash in." [emphasis added]
Part of the 2012 mystique stems from the stars. On the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years. This means that "whatever energy typically streams to Earth from the center of the Milky Way will indeed be disrupted on 12/21/12 at 11:11 p.m. Universal Time," Joseph writes.
But scholars doubt the ancient Maya extrapolated great meaning from anticipating the alignment — if they were even aware of what the configuration would be.
Astronomers generally agree that "it would be impossible the Maya themselves would have known that," says Susan Milbrath, a Maya archaeoastronomer and a curator at the Florida Museum of Natural History. What's more, she says, "we have no record or knowledge that they would think the world would come to an end at that point."
University of Florida anthropologist Susan Gillespie says the 2012 phenomenon comes "from media and from other people making use of the Maya past to fulfill agendas that are really their own." [emphasis added]
Clearly, New Agers are wanting to cash in on naive and gullible suckers who don't do their homework...
The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar forms the basis for a New Age belief, first forecast by José Argüelles, that a cataclysm will take place on or about December 21, 2012, a forecast that mainstream Mayanist scholars consider a misinterpretation, yet is commonly referenced in pop-culture media as the 2012 problem. [emphasis added]
As you've just read, José Argüelles (born in 1939) was the first person to predict a doomsday in 2012. As with most other scams, it's always something "new" that no one ever discovered before. As a general rule, I've become leery of anything "new." There've been 400 "new" English bibles since the trustworthy King James Bible was first published in 1611. Has the English language changed that much in 400 years? Of course not. It's all about money. Satan exploits man's greed for money to control him and cause him to do evil. People will do just about anything nowadays to make money, including stripping naked to be videotaped for all to see on TV. It is evil beyond our imagination in the eyes of God.
I've met numerous people who are really afraid of what may happen on December 21, 2012; but there need be any fear for the Christian. The 2012 scare is rooted in New Age occultism. The Bible does not reveal the time when the Lord will return, nor when the world as we know it will end. Interestingly, as evidenced in the preceding quote, mainstream Mayanist scholars do not agree with the 2012 doomsday scenario. I certainly would think that the Mayan people know their own calendar better than anyone else.
José Argüelles has been unable to support his 2012 doomsday theory by any professional Mayanist scholar...
Although Argüelles states that his tools and calendar are clearly not a Mayan calendar, much criticism of it focuses on the fact that his works remain completely unsupported by any professional Mayanist scholar. Amongst many criticisms leveled at it, it is pointed out that the interpretation merely co-opts an ancient tradition by recasting it in New Age terms, unknown, unused and undocumented among the Maya. [emphasis added]
So the entire 2012 scare is based upon unscholarly rubbish that cannot be supported with credible evidence. The world will end when God says it will end, and only He knows when that time is.
The Grand Illusion
It appears to me that the criminals who have taken control of the U.S. government, i.e., the New World Order gang, are working relentlessly to keep our minds preoccupied with anything but the truth these days. While FOX NEWS spends weeks talking about one sex-scandal; not a word is mentioned about the TENS-OF-TRILLIONS of dollars missing, unaccounted for, and blatantly stolen from American taxpayers by Washington politicians. The newsmedia has succeeded in causing Americans to fear their own neighbor; while leading us to offer unquestioning blind allegiance to the criminals in our own U.S. government who orchestrated the 911 attacks, blew up the Murray building in Oklahoma, shot downTWA flight 800, illegally invaded Iraq to steal their oil, and deliberately encourage illegal immigration to bring to fruition aNorth American Union. We have been betrayed by our government leaders, sold-out to the criminal New World Order. Something big will likely happen in 2012, which is why we are hearing so much hype. Pastor Lindsey Williams was a chaplain for many years with an oil company along the Alaskan Pipeline. He became friends with some elite people and sat in on their board meetings. Today, pastor Williams still maintains contact with some of those men, and has shared some very vital information with the American public concerning where we're headed as a nation. I recently heard pastor Williams on the Alex Jones show. He said that Americans will be MUCH poorer by 2012. There will be war in the Middle East around 2012, starting with Iran, and will draw the nations of the world into the conflict. Gas prices will skyrocket to $7 or $8 per gallon. The U.S. dollar will collapse. Nearly everyone in America will work either directly or indirectly for the government. At present, 35,000,000 Americans are receiving Food Stamps! The unemployment rate is at 16% nationwide! America will economically implode. America's churches, all 501c3 businesses since the 1950's, will all bow to the government in blind submission. Sadly, the American public is stupid, and the elite know it. We've bought hook, line and sinker into everything the elite have throw at us. They're laughing at us.
But the whole matter goes much deeper than 2012. The 2012 scare is just another big diversion to keep our minds preoccupied with anything but THE TRUTH. It is important that believers remember that everything happening in the world today is all geared towards the development of a New World Order, i.e., a Godless Global Totalitarian Communist Police State which will usher in the reign of the man of sin, the Antichrist. It will be Satan's finest hour, when the hordes of humanity will follow and worship Satan's man of sin (2nd Thessalonians 2:10). This is why we see so many people nowadays flashing the Satanic hand-sign, already worshipping the Beast. Some of them know what it means, but most do not. They are expressing their allegiance to the Prince of Darkness, Lucifer, the Beast, the Dragon, the Devil himself. “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” —2nd Thessalonians 2:8-10
